Asian Development Bank Delegation meets Opposition Leader Sajith!
A delegation including Director General of South Asia Department of the Asian Development Bank Mr. Kenichi Yokoyama, met the Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition in Colombo (09th June).
At this meeting, Sri Lanka’s current situation was discussed at length and the Leader of the Opposition requested the delegation for support in redeveloping of Sri Lanka. Resident Mission Directors of Asian Development Bank Messers Chen Chen and Takafumi Kadono were also present representing the Bank.
The Leader of the Opposition explained about the collapsed sectors of the country and mentioned that Sri Lanka needs time to recover from this situation. He also highlighted the need to encourage the government to adopt proper financial management.
The delegation informed the Leader of the Opposition that the Asian Development Bank is expected to provide support to Sri Lanka targeting a number of fields.
